Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

We had a great day celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday! Some of the children arrived at school dressed as their favorite Seuss characters, like Thing 1 and Thing 2, Max the dog, Sally and Cindy Lou Who. As an extra special treat other teachers visited our classroom and read us their favorite Dr. Seuss books.

This morning we picked a day for our Quiet Seat Reward time - on Friday, March 12th we will have a "science day". We brainstormed a list of science experiments that we would like to try and Mrs. Albert will be sending home a note asking for parent volunteers to help run different science centers. Some of our center ideas are: insect/creepy crawly hunt, make rockets, jumping raisins (and exploding Mentos), bubbles, static electricity and growing plants. If you would like to help us please post a comment and Mrs. Albert will either call or e-mail you with the details of our day.
